My son, William, has been receiving music therapy from Craig and Kari Christiansen for two years. William receives speech, play, occupational therapy, behavior, regular, auditory integration and equitherapy. Music is his absolute favorite. He loves going to all of his therapies, but he literally runs to Craig and Kari’s door.
This therapy has helped him in various aspects. They incorporate speech, sensory motor, motor planning exercises and academics into his music sessions. William has learned much faster in music therapy than any of his other therapies. This is due to the musical stimulation, his relationship with Craig and Kari and because he is having so much fun.
Craig and Kari are eager to work with William’s other therapists in order to maximize the therapeutic benefit and promote skill generalization. The therapists who have met Craig and Kari love them and are eager to work with them.
I am certain that if William did not have Craig and Kari on his team his progress would be slower. Their individualized sessions and the incorporation of various approaches help to achieve my son’s goals. I highly recommend Craig and Kari for music therapy.
