Dear Mr.C,
I just wanted to tell you what joy the Miner music CD has brought to our household. The boys are extremely proud of their performance and have been playing it constantly for the last two days. They are surprised and delighted that we actually KNOW THE WORDS of some of the songs on the CD, but request that we not sing along. They even called up one of their uncles to see if he too knew the words to one of the songs, My Girl, and broke up laughing when he proceeded to sing it to then over the phone. We saved it on the answering machine and now play it back whenever we need a good laugh!
I applaud your vision, realizing the self esteem it would bring to the kids to have a CD featuring their own voices. Your song selection was excellent, not too soft, not too hard, but something for everyone. I respect the determination and hard work it must have taken to get the CD into our hands, and thank you whoever was responsible for funding such a worthwhile project.
Congratulations for a job well done. You can be very proud of what you’ve given to the students at Miner.
